FAQ
Have a question? We've got the answers.
How do I use Sipahh?
It’s super easy! Just pop a Sipahh straw into a glass of chilled milk (about 8 oz) – dairy, soy, almond, oat… whatever your family loves. Then sip and enjoy!
For the best flavor, we recommend sipping within 5 minutes (before those flavor beads get too comfy).
Simple, fun, and no mess.
Can I use Sipahh with warm milk?
Yes! Sipahh works with warm milk – just not hot. Some flavors are especially cozy with warm milk, like Cocoa Bean Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, and Choc Mint.
Just a heads-up: Sipahh straws aren’t designed for hot drinks, so make sure the milk is warm and kid-safe (not piping hot). Perfect for a bedtime sip or a chilly morning!
Is Sipahh vegan?
Yes – Sipahh straws themselves are vegan-friendly and don’t contain any dairy or egg ingredients.
However, they are made in a facility that also handles products with milk, gluten, and soy, so there may be trace amounts.
Is Sipahh gluten-free?

However, they’re made in a factory that also handles other products, so they may contain traces of gluten, milk, or soy.
Are there any allergens in Sipahh?

However, they’re made in a facility that also handles other products, so they may contain traces of gluten, milk, and soy.
Is there any lactose in Sipahh?

Does Sipahh contain artificial sweeteners?
Sipahh straws do not contain aspartame, but they do include a small amount of sucralose – a no-calorie sweetener that helps keep our straws low in sugar while still tasting great for kids.
Our goal is to help kids enjoy more milk and less sugar. We’ve reduced the sugar in each straw, but to keep the flavor fun and satisfying, we use a very small amount of sucralose – only about 0.012 to 0.03 grams per straw (that’s just 0.2% to 0.5% of the straw’s content).
Sucralose is approved by the FDA, World Health Organization, and other global food safety authorities.
And we’re always working on better, more natural options – including monk fruit, which we’re actively testing as a future alternative. We’ll be sure to share updates as we go!
Does Sipahh contain artificial colors or flavors?
No – Sipahh doesn’t contain any artificial colors or flavors.
You might see some three-digit numbers on the ingredient list – those are international codes used for food additives. It’s a common misconception that all of them are artificial, but many are actually natural.
For example:
- The yellow color in banana flavor comes from turmeric.
- The caramel color is just caramel.
- The pink in strawberry flavor comes from beetroot.
We keep it clean, simple, and parent-approved.
Does Sipahh contain preservatives?
No – Sipahh straws don’t contain any preservatives.
Instead, each straw is individually sealed in a special wrapper that’s designed to keep it fresh without the need for added preservatives. Simple, safe, and ready when you are.
Is Sipahh low glycemic index (GI)?
Sipahh straws contain very few carbohydrates per serving, so they aren’t classified as a carbohydrate food and haven’t been officially tested for glycemic index in the U.S.
That said, each straw has just 2g of sugar and is considered a low-sugar option – designed to gently flavor milk without causing a big spike in blood sugar. It’s a smart, portion-controlled choice for everyday milk moments.
At what age can kids start using Sipahh straws?
Kids can start enjoying Sipahh as soon as they’re able to drink from a straw and are already consuming cow’s milk or milk alternatives like soy, rice, oat, or goat’s milk.
Straw drinking is a learned skill, so the age can vary – but most children are able to use a Sipahh straw around 12 to 18 months. That said, little ones might not finish a full serving of milk (8–10 oz) in one go, and that’s totally okay.
As always, we recommend supervising young children while they’re eating or drinking.
Is Sipahh packaging recyclable?
Yes – and we’re proud to say Sipahh straws are designed with sustainability in mind. The packaging has three main parts:
- Cardboard Box: Fully recyclable with regular paper and cardboard.
- Wrapping Film: A soft, scrunchable plastic that can be recycled wherever soft plastics are accepted.
- The Straw: Made from a plant-sourced, home-compostable polymer (cellulose acetate – made from wood pulp, like paper).
Even the filter that holds the flavor beads is compostable – it’s made from a corn-based material (PBS) and contains no fossil fuels. Both the straw and filter break down naturally and have zero net carbon impact on the environment.
So yes – Sipahh packaging is either recyclable or compostable, and we’re always working to make it even better for the planet.
Are Sipahh milk flavoring straws recyclable?
Sipahh straws aren’t recyclable in the traditional sense — they’re actually home-compostable. That means instead of being recycled, they’re designed to break down naturally in a home or industrial composting environment.
The straws are made from plant-based materials, and when composted, they’re broken down by microbes into carbon dioxide and water — leaving no harmful waste behind.
So while you can’t toss them in the recycling bin, you can feel good knowing they’re made to return to the earth gently.
Are Sipahh milk flavoring straws BPA-free?
Yes – all Sipahh straws and filters are 100% BPA-free.
BPA is a chemical often found in certain plastics, but Sipahh straws are made from a plant-based, compostable material called cellulose acetate. They contain no added plasticizers and are fully approved for direct food contact.
Safe for your kids, and gentle on the planet.
