About Our Straw
Not Fossil Plastic
Most straws end up in landfills, as litter, or worse.
Traditional plastic materials can take hundreds of years to break down, and along the way, they can impact the world around us.
Not Sipahh!
Our straws are made from plant-sourced cellulose (yes – from trees, not fossil fuels), making them safer for your kids and kinder to the planet. They’re free from harmful coatings or chemicals and naturally break down over time – no mess, no microplastics.
So, what happens to your Sipahh straw after use?
- Each straw is used just once – to make milk more fun!
- The straw is functional and lasts well for the whole glass. When it’s in a composting environment it begins to be consumed by fungi and bacteria.
- In a matter of months (depending on conditions) it’s absorbed back into nature.
It’s a closed loop cycle that starts and ends with nature, managed by trees, air, microbes and you.
